Economedia is Bulgaria’s first business media group and second largest publisher in the country

Capital, the leading business weekly, is a newspaper for the bulgarian decision-makers. The newspaper was launched in 1993. It has a total print of 30-35 000 copies. Each copy has average 3-4 readers. 90% of the subscribers (between 7 500 and 10 0000) are corporative clients. The newspaper has always supported the principles of the quality journalism, the ethical standards and the responsibility towards the readers.

Innovations: In March 2006 the business weekly receives a new visual identity. The new graphic concept of Capital is connected with the development of the editorial content. The main results from the changes are that readers read more, they spend the same time with the newspaper and receive more information.


Dnevnik is the leading business daily with the biggest business section in the Bulgaria – 16 pages "Companies and Finance". The first issue came out in 2001 in broadsheet format.

In 2005, after a marketing research showed that more than 50% of the readers would be happy with a more comfortable format, Dnevnik is being published in compact format with a total content of 40 pages.

In November 2005 Economedia introduced the new weekly supplement of Dnevnik for the Black Sea region – "Morski Dnevnik". It comes out with "Dnevnik every Friday.

With a print run of 12-15 000 the newspaper has 6000 paid subscribers, between 2000 and 5000 controlled subscribers and around 5000 copies go to newsstands. Dnevnik has an average of 5 readers per copy. It’s key editorial principles are more freedom for business and less intervention on the part of the state.
