Bulgarian WEB Awards

The Contest Bulgarian Web Awards 2009 was organized by the Bulgarian Web Association in the period 1-26 June 2009 and aims to encourage the developers of Web design and content, encouraging best practice in the Internet during the last year.

In the contest participate Web sites with published version after May 30, 2008. Every Web site can participate in one or more categories. Web sites are judged by a jury consisting of representatives of companies, members of the Bulgarian Web Association. Voting is public. The jury awarded prizes for best Web site for each of the 15 contest categories (Business, Blogging, E-Service, Fun, lifestyle, News, Organization, Web portal, Manufacturing, Advertising, Sports, Social Networking, Commerce, Services and Forum), four special awards (Graphics, Content, Usability and Innovation) and the Grand Prix of the year to the team that collected the most awards in the contest.

In the last two days of the competition a Seminar was held where16 Web branch professionals acquainted the audience with the peculiarities of internet business. Seminar was held under the motto "Let's go back to basics". In recent years, Internet business has developed very quickly. Many companies specialize in certain areas, while others were left with the feeling that failed to catch missed. In this regard, the seminar program aims to familiarize the audience with good practices in the industry, presented in plain language. Presentations are short, as their primary objective is to build a minimum of knowledge about key aspects of a successful Internet project - market positioning, task definition, structuring the information, content preparation, development, testing with customers, promotion and many others . At the end of each day the audience discussed with the speakers on hot topics.
